Is it dangerous to watch tv in the dark?

because my dad keeps hassling me to not watch t.v. or be on the computer in the dark but its late as h**l and people are asleep!

Its not dangerous, however it will cause eye strain.

If you can grab a small lamp and put it near the TV, that should help the eye strain, and not be so bright that it will wake people up

It is better for you NOT to watch television or play on the computer while in the dark. It will cause eye strain, which in turn will give you headaches. This will also cause your eyes to become weak resulting in glasses.
