  1. Put gas in a diesel engine and u can blow the engine. Put a small amount of diesel in a gas engine and it will burn but it runs rough and it smokes badly.


  2. Gasoline is a more refined product of oil than Diesel.  Gasoline is ignited in your car by a spark of electricity; while Diesel is ignited by compression in the piston chamber.  One form of diesel is Kerosene, and Kerosene is not only burned in lamps, but also as Jet fuel in planes.  You cannot run a gasoline car on diesel, nor will a diesel engine work on gasoline.
