  1. The autostrade are ok...And the italian don't drive like maniacs!I'm italian and i can tell you that in the autostrade there aren't problem to drive...The problem are the normal street,at 8am 0r at6-7pm,when people go or return to work..Onestly,in the north the only problem is the traffic, but in the south sometimes they drive very bad...the most problem is parking...and the traffic at palermo at 7 is upset!

  2. No it isn't difficult. The motorways in Italy are excellent. The only areas that are a little difficult are the big cities. If you follow the road from  Aosta to Turin and then the A6 to Savona and then the coast road  all the way down to Rome and through Naples you will really get to see some spectacular scenery and wonderful towns. Naples and Rome are by far the most difficult places to drive so it might be worth staying outside of these cities for a few days and visiting them with public transport..

  3. I have driven from Switzerland to Germany to France then to Italy. You will only see crazy drivers near the cities and on the coast of France and Italy.

  4. i went to italy a few years ago and drove from switzerland. well I didnt drive, but my swiss cousin did, and i really didnt think people were too crazy of drivers. my cousin didnt really seem to stressed when she was driving, so i would asume it isnt too super difficult.
