  1. Of course not. What a dumb question.

  2. Why would it be difficult they love you through evrything...

  3. I shouldn't think it makes any difference!

My aunty has diabetes and she met my uncle, and now their happily married with six children!

It doesn't make you any different to anyone else just because you have diabetes!

  4. NO! All it means is that you cant eat sugar! Its ok! It does nothing to your personality!

  5. no, not at all.....but better to tell this to him/her before marriage/relation

  6. not really. u just have to find an understanding and caring person

  7. Why?

  8. why should it be? diabetes is not an STD, why would it be hard to find someone who can except that you have a condition? Its not a big deal, so you have to watch what you eat, or take insulin or test your blood sugar everyday its not the end of the world.

  9. no. people should accept you for who you are and not what they want you to be. I am a diabetic as well. I had to learn to accept me to understand that i had to first love and accept me before anyone else could do it. Now I am like, if people can not accept me for me then they need to keep on stepping. That just means that I am too good for what they just lost. i hope this helps. good luck

  10. no

  11. oh honey no. My whole family (well almost) is diabetic. My mother, and shes married, my aunt is extremely diabetic with her sugar levels and blood pressure sky high and shes married and has three kids, and my other aunts and i have a cousin whos 19 and she has a partner. Its only going to be hard if you let it be an obstacle. People dont go out and say i wont date diabetics. I wont lie there will be discriminants because our world is not perfect, but there are many people out there that will accept you for who you are and all you have to offer. they will love you from the inside out. trust me diabetes is nothing to worry about. Sure it will bring its up and downs but thats what relationships and couples do, trust me the man you date wont be so perfect either, everyone has their own things to get through. Its life.

  12. I wouldn't think so.  If you are healthy and take good care of yourself and take your insulin regularly, you can live a long, healthy life with the same life expectancy as anyone else, so it should not affect your chances of finding a boyfriend or girlfriend.

  13. why would it matter if u were diabetic

  14. Try the yahoo dating site. I think you will find a person who cares and is supportive of your strict diet. You need to find a partner to walk with and to exercise with and who understands your strict diet. Wishing you the best of luck!

  15. No ,if a person isn't interested due to a medical need they are not worth having anyway .

  16. no!  unless you're a whiner like my co-worker and use it to draw attention to yourself!  poor me i'm a diabetic!

and as for 'whats' comment, what a load of c**p.

i know my co-worker's spouse and they are always going at it like rabbits - lol.

as long as you eat right, take care of yourself and use your meds you are fine!

  17. It is for males. It generally destroys the bedtime stuff. mom told me all about that.

  18. I have a brother who is a diabetic as well as a very good friend.

As long as you take care of your illness and cause yourself any unnecessary complications it makes no difference at all.

My brother's marriage almost broke up when he was first diagnosed because he was constantly sick and then my sister in law found out he was taking the healthy balanced lunch and food for his day at work and throwing it out and filling up the cooler with candy and a sub.  She felt betrayed and that he was completely irresponsible.  My brother took a manageable illness and acted like a baby and chose to do what he felt like doing.  That was a disrespectful act to himself and his wife.

When he finally realized that he felt better when eating right and taking care of himself it was almost too late to save their relationship.

So if you are being responsible for yourself and your health than being a diabetic is not going to affect your relationships with an equally responsible person.

    Good luck!
