Is it difficult to find an apartment after a bankruptcy is discharged?

  1. It can be.  bring a lot of cash and pay in advance and you should have little trouble


  2. It could depend on how long ago the bankruptcy was discharged. Some realtor owned apartments run credit checks, some care whether you filed, others don't, it really depends, but...if you find one you like you can call to see. If they do a credit check you can tell them you filed, why and they may let it slide. I had that happen, and moved in with no problems, but I had the 1st and last months rent and paid on time, so...no problems, guess it depends on who you are renting from.
