Is it difficult to get a h1 visa with a second class bachelors engineering degree from india?

these consultancy ppl called me about a month back and told me that i was selected in the lottery system now they are sayin that they are not happy with my second class degree. are they lying is it difficult to get the hi visa with the second class degree?

this person is an employer who is based in the usa a close friend of mine works for him. i have filed all my papers. they told me i have been selected in the lottery system but they wont give me the EAC number. i also have work experience in the realated field for about 2.5 years

my first question- is it difficult to get a h1 visa with a second class degree bachelors?

second- are these consultancy ppl being honest with me?

Why should they hire someone with second class degree if they can find someone with first class degree?

It is more difficult to get H1 visa with second class degree, but it is not impossible.  If you have experience (internship) or other skills that they are looking for, you have a good chance.
