  1. it's not

    dead people are dead

and we shouldnt be wasting needed land

with  insane religious ideas about keeping dead bodies around

so that the big scary monster in ther sky can re-animate them one day

    it's ridiculous

    skate away

  2. It is very disrespectful. It's worse than spitting on someones grave-you're basiclly stomping on it. I believe that when someone dies you just let them rest in peace. They are not to be disturbed. I think thats what makes it like that.

  3. dead people don't care

  4. becuase a cemetary is not place to play around. some say youre disturbing the dead, but the dead dont know anything. but still, its always best to respect the people who have passed away. i use to live near a cemetary and i have seen tombstones that have been knocked over to shoved. just no respect.

  5. You might come across people who are making a visit. They want some quiet time without distractions, and skating would be disruptive to them. So yes, I'd say it is.

Response to your update: It is still disrespectful to the visitors, who don't need to be reminded of people goofing around and having fun while they are making their visit. Please don't do it.

  6. You're walking over the bodies of the dead. Respect the dead!

  7. I think it depends on your reason.

Are you doing it just to be crude and rude, or are you skating through the park to get to a destination? If you are skating through the park to get to a destination, I'd say it's fine. However, pay close attention to the rules, and don't disturb others, because then it's disrespectful.

  8. I doubt the dead would mind.  Mourners don't like being around people when they are talking to their dead loved ones.    It seems a shame that cemeteries are so empty.  They are usually nice, quiet places except on days when they are mowing the lawns.

  9. yes, b/c your having fun instead of mourning them.

  10. I think it is

  11. yes becausee your skating inside a placee were people are put to death its kinda like there property i guess you can say lol but its very disrespectful people are dead in theree id people creeeped out if i did that honestlyy.

  12. That's a hard question because you're going to get soo many different opinions on the subject, but in my opinion, No. If you wanted to go along the path and enjoy that's its a peaceful and quiet place I see no harm. I mean unless you were making a scene or skating across the grassy area where the tombstones are, I don't think you are doing anything wrong.

  13. yes you should only go to a cementary to pay respect for the dead

  14. Because your frolicking over dead people and having a blast while people are mourning? Lol isn't it obvious?

  15. VERY

  16. hellz yea biznatch.

your supposed to respect the dead not skate ontop of their dead bodies!

  17. I think it would be ok, as long as there are no funerals going on at the time.  As a kid, my friends and I used to ride our bikes in the cemetery.  There were lots and lots of paved streets throughout it, with little hills, so it was fun.

If you see a cemetery worker, ask him if it's ok.

  18. Yes, just because the dead should be allowed to "rest" in peace.

  19. Very.

  20. it is because people want to be restful when they are dead

  21. Yes, it is disrespectful.....

  22. That would be very bad.  Disrespectful.

  23. um yea in so many ways.Go watch The Eye 10  on youtube and see the ways of messing with the dead. Its NOT FUN!

  24. i really don't think the dead could care less. however, if it's causing damage then yes it is to those who pay for the plots and take care of the property

  25. I would think so.

  26. if people are visiting graves, then yes it is disrespectful to rollerblade by, because it is disturbing and unpeaceful. usually its okay to walk in a cemetary though.

  27. no, i'm guessing you mean on the paved surfaces and not actually on graves as someone had assumed.  people walk and jog in cemetary's all the time.

  28. yea it is disrespectful

who would rollerskate where dead people are

    cuz theres people mourning there

  29. In some cities, because there is no space, no parc or forest to walk or skate or... too much pollution & dust, the only healthy place where people can have a walk or skate are cemeteries.

I don't think it is disrespectful. It is a quiet and peaceful place with no traffic (no pun intended). As long as people keep quiet and respect the environment I do not see a problem - this is my very modest personal opinion -. Lots of my friends go for walks in cemeteries because they not have an alternative. Nobody has ever taken offense. Mind you, maybe rollerskating hasn't got the same effect on people or on visitors as walking has. Skaters should maybe go to another side of the place when they see some activity going on so as not to disturb possible mourners. At least it is not skateboarding because, that would be another matter as this activity sometimes involves acrobatics.

    Hope this helps.

  30. Yes, because someone might be mourning a loved one at the time.
