Is it discrimination to pay higher salaries to the people who work more?

During the annual salary review, what if one person worked 50 weeks and another person worked 40 weeks? Should companies be allowed to consider overall productivity or just job title?

  2. Post question the answer is no. I'm not an expert, but I do have an opinion. A blue collar work in order to make as much as a white collar worker would have to work the 50 complared to his 40.

  4. Welcome to the real world. Casual laborers get paid less than bank managers yet get worked more. I guess human beings figure that what the brain can do is more important than what the hands can do. But if you're going to change the world, I support you brother.

  7. Work more or work smarter?  If it takes one person 50 hours to do a job that another person does in 40- why would I pay them more?  Companies should use productivity as a clue.
