Is it dorky to join student council?

I am in middle school and my teachers recommended me and my friend courtney for student council. So we got notes and are staying after school tomorrow to discuss. Is this lame?

no, cuz when u make something cooler, u become cooler, its only a matter of what you change and what the percentage of the student body agrees with you.

Ok good question im in 7th grade and its a great thing 2 do.I help the multihanndeycaped kid(mentally retarded is the mean way 2 say it)and i enjoy it if u like 2 help like me then ull prob do it but i recomend it but as ur question asked No not at all its not dorky!=DHope i help a gain!

Of course not.  As a matter of fact, in my school all of the social butterflies are in student council and have their own little posse and all.  Its a very good thing to do, and you won't regret it if you do.

~ it is not lame....in fact when it is time to fill out your collage applications,,,,its almost like filling out a job application....Collages look at grades of course,,,but also what you give back to the community.....Student council shows Leadership and that is part of what a collage looks at.....go for it.........it is not lame.........and it also shows your fellow students that you have "them" in your best interest......think of your future,,,go for it,,,,,be the leader,,,,,get on student council,,,,,,,its not lame............

No its not. Acutally it helps you in highschool when they ask you what have you done. It also helps if you want to become a Major or something like that ;P

the question is if you want to do it. It doesnt matter what people think cuz 10 years from now u might look back and say if people didnt think it was dorky u would have done it.
