Is it dorky to ride an electric scooter to school?

Question

I have an electric scooter at home, but I think it's kind of dorky to take it to school. Yeah, yeah, I know I shouldn't care what people think, but I do. I'm not the coolest person, so it's not like I can pull anything off like other people. I took it for like two weeks during summer school, but there weren't as many kids at the school then. Yeah some people turned around and giggled and talked. I heard one girl say that she used to have one, but that doesn't mean anything bad. Ok what I'm trying to say is: If a rather dorky Jr. girl rode to school in an electric scooter, would it be dorky? I just need a way to get to school without taking the bus (way too crowded).

Be honest, it's not like you know me so you won't be hurting my "feelings" or anything.

No...it beats taking public transp. n stinky ppl on them plus u r NOT contaminating the planet, which is cool. Just use a helmet always.

trust me, its WAY less dorky than taking the bus.

Id rather WALK to school than take the bus if I lived closer to school.

I say with gas prices and for the environment - ride the scooter - its fun, economical, practical, and if you carry yourself with confidence, extreme coolness =]

No not really its better than walking you might have to change your plans in the winter though.  And about taking the bus I always had a pleasant experience taking it yet we were lucky enough to have one of the coolest drivers and one of the newer school buses.  I was lucky though since roseville had a fleet of 30 plus buses so it was crowded but not very often only a few seats were 3 people to a seat and that sucked big.  Just make sure you scooter isn't going to be dead after school or on the way to school or going home it would be a long walk pushing that thing.  Good luck

It's a LITTLE dorky....

Do something to make it less dorky--add racing stripes, paint it like tie-dye, wear a cool vintage leather helmet....

What kind of electric scooter is it?

Personally I think electric scooters are cool.  I recently bought one and ride it to work every day.  It's not much different than biking, which I don't think is dorky either.

If people think it's dorky, then they're dumb and it doesn't matter what they think.  It's a quick and environmentally friendly way to get around, and personally I think it's very cool.
