If you're talking visa-wise, then yes, it's easier for you to go there than it is for them to go to your country. Colombia is a fantastic country that unfortunately has a bad name/ fame due to drugs. You're just about as safe there as you are in your own country. It's really unlikely you'll be exposed to situations where a kidnapping is likely to happen. (I reckon that is the fear you have)

It depends on who 'you' are and who 'they' are.

It is safe to go to Colombia. As safe as going anywhere else.

Me and my hubby are going in December. We'll spend a whole month there. You just need to be careful where you go, that's all.

I'm very careful where I go in the US. So, I'm used to it.

Go to Colombia.. you'll have a wonderful time, I can promise that.
