I currently have a 140 cm wake board which i found out is way too long for someone my size (140 lbs.) I am about to buy a 132 cm but I just want to know whether or not it's easier to simply land on.

  1. short

  2. i'm 130 lb and learned on a 140" board. when I finally got my own 134" board things were so much easier. I did have more surface to land on with the bigger board, but the weight was too much.

  3. long would displace more water and make it easier to land because it is more stable. However, you aren't a very big person, so it would be easier to launch off of the shorter board. Since you aren't very big, you should still be able to land without difficulty on the 132.

  4. Tricks are so much easier to do when you have a smaller board. I learned to wakeboard on my brother's 140 board, then went to camp and used a 134. I could do tricks so much easier and it felt alot better when I did them. I never did tricks with my brother's board (Since I bought my own after I went to the camp. I now have a 137.), but I would guess that it is easier to land with it. It will be alot easier to keep your control once you land, which should make it easier to land. If you ride a board that is to big for you, then the board will control you instead of you controlling your board.
