Is it easier to learn German than it is to learn Spanish?

It depends, if you know another romance language Spanish will be a breeze but if you don't...it will still be somewhat easier (in terms of grammar) than german in my opinion. German is also not too hard but I think you would benefit more from Spanish, its up to you though. You can learn any language as long as you are committed so it doesn't really matter.

i would say german is easier because many words are similar in english,

but not so much in spanish :]

so i would recommend you german :P

I don't think so. English and spanish have a bunch of words that sound almost the same.

Plate - Plato

Bus - Bus

Grey - Gris

Curtain - Cortina

Pear - Pera

Planet - Planeta

Vase - Vaso

Vote - Vota

Lamp - Lámpara

Deodorant - Desodorante

Just to mention some
