  1. This is dangerous. If you didn't acquire this skill as a young child it would be best to ask for help from a gymnastics instructor. They will be able to show you a "proper" technique and be able to support you throughout your movements. Whichever is easier is hard to say. I'm sure that depends on the individual.

  2. i've heard from many other people who can do both that I know in real life that say backflips are easier to do, but it's just hard to do your first one, mostly because of fear of going jumping backwards and totally not understanding the feel of it. Frontflips are much easier to just go out and try (i've only tried front flips, not backflips, so i'm living proof i guess lol) because its not really scary or anything and you can kinda visualize what'll happen. you know what the feeling will be. but they're actually much harder to do. Backflips are just more natural and your legs give you momentum and stuff like that. You can do it just fine within a week of doing your first one. Frontflips on the other hand will take many tries. I've tried frontflips before and I keep landing on my back or bum because it's just harder to get air and momentum spinning that way. You spin slower and get less height. Just make sure in both cases you have something soft to land on when learning especially front flips, you can hurt your back. also try both flips on trampolines if you can first. i can do frontflips on a trampoline easy and its a great way to get started.

    hope i helped.
