  1. they're both just about the same. They are very similar languages.  If you only speak English, and you're trying to learn the easiest language between those two, you might as well toss a coin, but if you're planning to use that language in the future and you live in the US, you'll have a lot more opportunities to practice your Spanish than your French ... and that will make it easier  ...  and more practical in your life.

  2. spanish is easier!

  3. Spanish first. Fairly good Spanish will open Portuguese doors as well.

  4. I did Spanish one year and thought it was boring, but easy. I switched to French for the remainder and enjoyed it more, although it was more difficult to learn

  5. spanish...the pronunciation is easier and a lot of the words are easier to figure out the meaning to even if you don't know them.

  6. well i tried learning french when i was 8, but then switch to spanish the same year and thought that it was much easier!

  7. Spanish....

French is difficult for me because you have to have the sorta like same accent and 2 words could be spelled the same and the way you say it determines which definition it is...

    I-yie-yie...lol

    SPANISH 100%.....u?

  8. spanish is easier lots of the words sound the same like

    cato = cat

see?it looks the same. i mean of course it will be ultimately hard when you need to roll your R's but practice and you can get it. but then again it's your decision so what you decide should matter more to you

    good luck!

  9. it depends.spanish is in you're advantage if you live in a hispanic area.and if you got friends to help you that speak spanish.

but in my opinion, french is better because you would look more elegant.you can talk **** in french to people and they wont know what you're talking about.

i'd say they're the same.learning a language gets harder and  harder every year no matter what language it is.

it also depends on you're teacher.

  10. I am fluent in Spanish...trying French.  Spanish was much easier

  11. Both have advantages. French is extremely familiar to English speaking people because about a third of our vocabulary comes from French, and we recognize it at once without any study.  (Restaurant, Boulevard, etc.)  We also use a lot of French expressions in our everyday conversation, like "have a tete-a-tete with someone," meaning to have a meeting.  Even if the expressions are new to you, you quickly recognize them in writing once you have encountered them.  Spanish has the advantages that it is widely spoken and there are lots of opportunities to practice.  Spanish also has some grammatical similarities to English.  (We can say, "I'm going to eat later tonight," and Spanish has a similar structure with the verb "go" for future.  Both are equally difficult in grammar, with many forms and categories English does not use.  If I were making the decision for myself, I would choose Spanish first because of its practicality.  Once you feel comfortable in Spanish and have used it a lot, French will come just as easily, and the fact that it isn't as useful in the U.S. won't prevent you from practicing and improving.

  12. spanish because it's almost exactly like porteguese and italian so you can say you know 3 languages instead of one haha

  13. both are good it doesn't really matter

it depends on if you have allot of french speakers or spanish speakers around you

    i learned french first
