  1. Wine is easier to make for the simple fact that it does not require carbonation.

  2. Easier to make wine.

  3. Well, with wine you literally just sanitize your fermenter, add in the boxed juice concentrate, yeast, water, and let it go.  It's pretty easy.

Beer requires you to heat up a wort, even if you are doing a fairly simple liquid extract malt brew.  I won't compare wine to a true beer brew, starting from grains, since the actual comparison is starting with grapes in wine world.  Then you will generally have a secondary fermentation, and then bottling.

So, wine is easier.  But beer brews quicker.  You can get a quick fermenting wine, however, which will be done in under 3 weeks.

  4. Wine  takes  longer but  it is easier to brew beer

  5. I make both. Wine is easier except that it can take many months or even years before your wine is ready to drink. There is more involvement in the initial making of beer but I have never made a beer that wasn't ready within seven weeks(usually sooner).

If you are looking for something easy to make try hard cider. It is easier than beer or wine, involves fewer ingredients, can be ready to drink within a month, and can be as weak as beer or as strong as wine depending on the recipe.

  6. Time: Beer is faster.

    Ingredients: Wine is simpler.

Chance to foul up: Wine is more forgiving of mistakes; more bacteria can grow in beer.

  7. Do both. I brew my own beers and wines .Currently I am fermenting 5 gallons of Raspberry Mead ( honey raspberry wine)

  8. Hey, I have made beer, and my friends dad has made wine...  From what I have seen I, personally, believe that making wine is easier.  From the amount of ingredients to how many times you have to x-fer the liquid to everything else, wine just seems, overall, easier.  On the other hand, although I have never made wine myself, from what I have seen of wine making, beer brewing is much more rewarding and taste much better (I am not a big fan of wine).  So, from the standpoint of ease, I believe that wine making is what you want; however, from my point of view beer brewing is the awesome!  Either way here is the site that got me started and hope it helps you get started as well!!!
