As everyone says, if you can do a job you should be able to get a job, many Brits do.

However... some occupations, mainly trades, do have licensing difficulties.

If you are in this category, then you do need to look closer at it, unless you intend being a normal employee, rather than a higher paid contractor or self employed.  

The trade assessment done for the Visa, often only allows you to work as an employee.  More training/exams are required to get full licences in many of the trades, although not all, and different rules apply in different States.
