I'm currently in high school and am really passionate about chemistry, math and physics. I'm considering joining chemical engineering. Is it easy to find a job after I graduate with a master in chemical engineering? Especially when I'm an Asian female? Not many Asian females study chemical engineering and I'm worried about the career prospects. Thanks!

  1. As far as I understand the field is one of the more rapidly growing ones. It also is one of the highest paying jobs currently. Make sure you do it because you like it. 8hrs a day adds up to a lot over the course of your life.

  2. Are you joking?  There's soooo many Asian people studying Engineering, especially women!  Just go to schools like UT Austin if you don't believe me....

And it really depends on where you live...where I grew up (Houston) the demand for chemical engineers is painfully intense...they'll basically beg you to work for them....it's also pretty high in other Gulf Coast areas with chemical companies, such as New Orleans
