I am moving to either Kelowna or Vancouver for school and won't be able to get my license until I come back to Alberta in the summer next year. Do I need a car to live there?

  1. Kelowna is small enough that you can walk anywhere around it.

Check out http://www.busonline.ca/regions/kel/ and learn more. Hope this helps.

  2. Vancouver is a great place to live without a car.  There is so much transit and with gas costs going up a lot of people are ditching their cars.  There are busses, mini busses, sea busses, skytrain and the new Canada Line that goes from the Airport to Downtown.

Don't even worry about needing a car while you are here!  Sorry I don't have any info on Kelowna.

  3. If your a student in Vancouver  you can get a discount monthly pass, I stoped driving 5 years  ago  no problems  good bus & sky train service
