  1. Sherpa is a caste in Nepal. You are discriminating them by saying whether you can hire them or not. It's like asking whether Brahmins are available for hire, or Christians are available for hire. Instead you should be asking, is it easy to hire Porters in Lukla.

    The answer is yes.


  2. Only the sherpas are capable to climb high mountains, because they consider their mountains as their playground and place of worship. You can hire them as guide and porter.
