Is it easy to learn ARNIS?

I'm an incoming freshman college in a university in Manila and I'm planning to take up arnis for my PE.

Is it easy to learn arnis or I have to work hard for it?

Is it fun?

How much is the arnis stick?

Arnis is fun - lots of fun!

The sticks are not that expensive - they are just rattan.

It is easy to learn if the teacher is authentic. The patterns have to be done slow at first - very slow until you learn them.

Afterward you pick up speed and that's when the real fun starts.

                 OMG! Your in the Philippines and your asking questions here! Go out and just do it.

Like any skill it will take time. There is no quick way or easy way to do it. Your in university, is it easy?

The schools would have sticks to sell i bet, so you don't have to worry about that.

It is Fun if you like it. You have to try it yourself first.

And find a good school first. The better Guro/instructor  is the one that does not advertise. There are so many Masters where you are. You have the internet so i suggest you use it.

Oh I like Arnis Sticks.  It is easy to pick up the basics and when you got it, it's a blast!  Chucks are harder if that gives you a clue.

Go for it and have fun!

Oh, my sticks cost $20.00 I believe. (just basic sticks, you can get fancy ones for more money.)

um I would like to mention that the schools in the Philippines tend to have a more rigorous training than in the US as the likely-hood of being attacked with a knife is much higher there yes it is a very good style yes it is easy at first but before long  it will step up and be much more vigorous
