Piano? I want to take a class next year at my high school. It said it's for anyone at any level, but I have absolutley no musical talent, always sucked at music in elementary school, but I really want to learn how to play. Is it easy to learn? And what about reading music, I have no idea how to do that either. Thank you!

  1. You already posess the one manditory ingredient neccessary to learn anything. You really want to do it. You have desire.

    It will be tedious, and some find it easier than others. (Thats called talent) But I know you will be just fine.  Go For It!!!

  2. Piano takes a lot of practice to get accustomed to playing two different things with each of yours hands. Actually learning how to read the music isn't that hard, but it does take some practice. If you really want to, you can learn how to read music before taking the class. There should be some sites to help you with this. You'll need to learn how to read both Bass and Treble clef, which are like two different scales. If you look at piano music, you'll see two lines of music. The top is the Treble clef, which you play with your right hand, the bottom is the Bass clef, which you play with your left hand where the lower notes on the piano are, or the "Bass notes."

    Like with any instrument, practice is imperative, but it's in no way impossible to learn how to play the piano. Good luck and have fun!

  3. It is only easy if you are willing to practice.

    I wasn't so... I failed. ;_;
