  1. It's not that hard to learn - just lots and lots of practice, an ear for music and "feeling".

To be a good violin player can take a lifetime though.

  2. No.

There are no "easy" instruments.  Its possible on most musical instruments to learn a few simple scales, or basic chords, and learn a couple of elementary tunes within a short period of time.  But that barely qualifies as being able to play.

If you actually want to learn to play the violin or any instrument at a relatively high level of proficiency, to be able to play either off of sheet music or by ear, any tune or piece you want to learn, and do so with good tone, good timing and rhythm and the ability to play well with other musicians, it will take YEARS of study and hard work.

    It is NOT easy.

  3. Yes Simple. I learnt it naturally just by picking it up and striking the strings. A couple of minutes later  was playing anything. Its like the drums.

  4. I would say it is one of the hardest instruments because you have to be able to play it by ear, ie there is no frets

  5. No

  6. Nothing worth doing well is easy.

  7. not as easy as a guitar..and when its not being played well..it can sound a bit harsh..but practice makes perfect...just search youtube for clips of the great Stephane Grapelli (and his guitar counterpart Django Reinhardt) to hear just how amazing it can be
