I'm a small female, and a beginning rider. I have already purchased a honda rebel, and am not interested in a different motorcycle. This one is the one I want.

It will be my daily driver. At least 70 miles a day commuting, 5 days a week.

I am a beginner, and am concerned. Is it easy to tear up the transmission on these things? I know to clutch when changeing gears. My concern comes from this: sometimes, I linger in a gear that I shouldn't, sometimes I shift gears later/earlier than I should, etc. Wondering just how hard this is on this particular cycle.

Thanks.

  1. only DURRING the shift can you normally s***w up the gears.

To do that would be to shift without using the clutch.

    Have fun!

  2. nothing to worry about holding it in gear longeror shorter time.... will be harder on motor than trans just listen and shift as you speed up or when you slow down  you wil get the hang of it grinding gears would be harder on trans... be riding 35 yrs or so and have yet mess one  up
