  1. Doing a hundred of any kind of push ups will improve triceps and chest muscles for anyone currently not doing more than that now.  I like to adjust my form after each set, start out with hands at shoulder width with 25, move hands closer for the next 25, etc...  and end with the diamond push ups at 100.  I would try and decrease the rest time also to closer to 30 secs or whatever the minimum recovery you can do is, this will decrease as you get better and yes I can do 4 sets of 25 pushups in almost any position.  Good luck my friend.

  2. Well, if you're looking to tone up those areas, then sure. Of course 100 may work for others and some can do more. Bring the rest period down to 30-45 seconds. This is good for beginner to moderate trainers. If you really want to bulk up in those areas, you should hit the weights. More resistance will help to build muscle and strength. Again, you can keep doing that if you only want to tone up. And yeah, I can do those, but I'd probably do more, but I also like and prefer using weights and machines.
