Of course I will have one there on the wedding day, but are they just a wonderful treat, for the cost that you pay to have them walk you through along the way?

  1. The need for a planner / coord is more based on the complexity of the wedding and stuff, than the size of the reception. If its a straight church/ other service to reception you can do without, but its some work. If it's a whole weekend event, a coordinator can help.

  2. I don't think so.  But, that all depends on how involved your wedding is going to be.  We're going to have one for the rehearsal and the day of; just to make things run smoothly and take some pressure off of us! Our guest list is also 100.

  3. no of course not. most brides and grooms don't have a wedding coordianter at all, they just plan it themselves. it's really not that hard.

  4. depends on your own ability and all

i'll never have a wedding big enough to need one, me and the bf is more then capable of delegating...and by being by the wheel we would have full control of things...there is nothing as anoying as someone who just know better from experience and try to tell you what to do (i'm the type who like to do things my own way and get them perfected as such without a lot of fuzz)

  5. Well, given that you're saying you will "of course" you will have one it sounds like you're having a huge wedding (and I don't mean the number of guests. If you're doing something big enough that having one on the day is a necessity, then you'd probably benefit from having one for the rest of the planning too.

  6. yes it essential because the coordinator will handle all the problems

that comes up during the planning of the wedding so the bride won't

get headaches. she can relax knowing a professional is assisting her.

  7. They really are worth every penny.  They take so much of the stress off of the bride to be, as long as they listen to what you are wanting.  It's your day and you certainly should have the wedding of your dreams, not someone elses.  If you only have one only there for the wedding day, then you will really need to have lots of communication between you and the wedding planner, not to mention that having a planner on your wedding day only doesn't mean that you will be able to hire someone just for that moment because a planner doesn't like to jump in into someone elses plans and mistakes.  I say leave it to the professionals.  Good Luck & Congratulations!
