Is it even possible for an 18 year old to get insurance on a sportbike for less then 1000 dollars a year?

and can you get coverage that you only have to pay for 5 or 6 months out of the year, because I live in PA and obviously winter isn't prime for a bike

  1. No, insurance on a bike is expensive no matter what. In fact, most insurance companies don't allow you to only have a bike insured with them since they don't consider it a prime source of transportation, like you're not going to take it to work in the pouring rain. And if you have it in storage, they will still charge you for comprehensive insurance.


  2. possible yes...probable no.  are you wanting just liability or full coverage?  if its just liability your chances of keeping the premium down are much better.  MOST motorcycle policies are written on a yearly basis, but you CAN cancel it anytime you know.  call a local independent agent to get a quote.  one of the best companies with the best rates is American Reliable...see if they write in your state.
