Recently me and my friends were being stupid and jumping from her porch to the ground. Its only 6 steps but thats six feet and you have to jump far to reach the grass. Well were were hanging out with our guys friends and they all jumped so then my best friends jumped. i rele didnt want to but i was stupid and did it anyway. I landed on my foot wrong and hard and heard it crack. Now all down the left side of my left foot hurts and the ball of my foot, plus my toes. I have to limp everywhere. Now my best friend (lets call her Kayla) Kayla (who always competes with everyone for attention all the time!) is saying that she "sprained the arch of her foot" i dont know if thats even possible? And she was pretty much fine yesterday after jumping except she kept "falling down" while me as soon asi jumped and landed wanted to cry it hurt so bad. So can you just tell me, is it possible to "Sprain the arch of your foot"?

  1. Overextending any part of your body -- even those parts you weren't sure could be extended at all, like the arch of your foot -- can sprain them.  It's all just bone, ligament and muscle tissue -- so yes, you can sprain the arch of your foot!

Hope you iced it, that ought to help.

  2. yes there is a ligament there that can easily be sprained or snapped.

you can tell if it is seriously damaged by laying both your feet flat on the floor and looking at the arch, if the arch on the damaged foot is really low then it is possible you have damaged the ligament and i would go to a pediatrician
