  1. New to astronomy, then you'll like this then. It's a completely free planetarium that I use all the time.

  2. Yes, quite frequently. There have been occasions where Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus have all been visible at the same time if you know where to look. Mercury and Venus are quite often visible in the sky together. However you'd be unlikely to see Mercury and Saturn or Mars together due to Mercury being much closer to the Sun.

  3. YES :)

Actually on most night thru the year you can see at least 3

  4. of course.

at one point a few years ago all 5 classical planets were in the western sky at dusk. it was really cool.

  5. of course. there have been times when all the planets have been seen. not very often though.

    make it a good day

  6. Yes. It is pretty common, as you might expect with 5 (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) bright enough to see without a telescope and all moving at different speeds, passing each other in the sky all the time.

  7. Yes. It's possible for all five naked-eye planets, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn to be visible simultaneously. One such occasion was in May 2002: http://starryskies.com/articles/dln/5-02...

It's also possible for the other two planets, Uranus and Neptune, to be in the sky at the same time as these five, though I haven't sought out any particular dates when this might happen.

  8. Yes. Lot of free astronomy software for the night sky is avaiable on the net. Also sky and telescope has a interactive skychart which you can use and simulate sky conditions for any date/time.Use it and find what are available at your location in the evening sky.

Uranus and neptune will require optical aid like binocular or telescope, rest five  arenaked eye objects.

  9. 4 planets are visible to the naked eye: Venus (only at sunset because it's between the Earth and the Sun), Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. They all look like stars to the naked eye!
