  1. Yes the U.S is a terrible place to study and cost too much. You can study in France for free

  2. Public colleges:$40,000

    Private colleges:$50,00

    plus travel expenses and everything.

    This is for undergrads.

  3. You are looking at between $18,000 to $45,000 per year for an undergraduate program. This cost includes tuition, living expenses, books, insurance and other costs.

For graduate programs, you are looking at an average of $35,000 per year (two semesters) for tuition alone.

If cost is an issue, look at community colleges. These charge much less for tuition and allow you to study for the first two years and complete your general studies requirements for a fraction of the cost, before transfering to a four-year school to complete your final two-years.

  4. Or you planning to come here to study, or are you planning to permanently move here and you're just curious about the educational system?

Foreign students have to pay more for a U.S. education.  They are prohibited from working, and must document that they have enough funds to support themselves while they are here.  They are not able to take advantage of any state or federal scholarships.

A U.S. education is expensive.  Some americans decide to get their education in a foreign country, but find it difficult to pass the U.S. competency exams so that they can return and work here.  The U.S. education system teaches up-to-date material.  I used to speak regularly with someone in the Philippines.  While I was trying to have an intellectual conversation with her, I found out that she had learned the stuff that had been believed to be true a couple of years ago, but were obsolete since a new theory had been out for a while now.  Her "new" books were copyrighted 4 years prior.

Then again, with the depreciation of the U.S. dollar, it might be cheaper for you if you live somewhere that uses the euro or the pound.  U.S. citizens pay lots of money when traveling because the dollar isn't worth as much anymore. If you were traveling in the reverse direction, your money would be worth more here.

  5. yes, extremely expensive, even for us citizens

  6. YES! unless of course you are able to get scholarships or sponsorships!
