  1. Nope, it means you are leading a clean healthy life, and on top of it if you are a Muslim it means you are following your deen and not your nafs/desires.

Saudi hot-girl: So according to you if a person stays away from these acts

    a. drink alcohol

    b. have s*x before marriage

    c. gamble

    He is an extremist? How?

and do you not believe in the Qur'aan? because the Qur'an forbids gambling, alcohol and s*x before marriage? Pls clarify?

  2. No, it becomes extremism when you force others to follow these beliefs with threats and violence.

  3. Extremism?!?!?!?! Is this the name you give for one who is loyal to his/her Lord?????

Who wants to follow his deen as it was sent???huh?

who dont pick and choose as per their wish?

who is not being a hypocrite saying im a modern liberal muslim?

Why dont they just say,"This faith is not fit for me,I cant bend for all its restrictions" rather than to change it in the name of modernisation???

People who are weak in their faith and are not strong enough to stand against temptations for the love and sake of their God,call it extremism.....

    But I say,this is Islam,beautiful islam- A GUIDE FOR LIFE......Alhamdulillah

  4. none of these are part of extremism

extremism is when fakes pretend to be muslim causing the real muslim to suffer from ther doins

    EG

    suicide bombers

  5. no it is not extremism....it is following the laws and guidelines of our faith Islam.

If you believe in the teachings of a way of life then you follow its laws. And Allah (swt) tells us that which is allowed and that which is not. The things you have mentioned have been told to us by Allah (swt) and his prophet Muhammed (saw) and are things that are considered HARAAM (forbiden) in our Islamic way of life.

  6. That is what "modern" muslims call it.

so i must be an extremist.

  7. no

  8. No.  There are even some atheists that do that.  Hang out with some athiest straight edge kid and you'll see.

  9. NO,

Actually this is the requirment from a muslim ,when he submitts him self to Allah by saying ,

    La ilaha ill Allah,

when he recite this KALAMAH,he submitts himself to Allah,

and puts restriction on him ,for not doing the things Allah has forbidden.

  10. i would say no

  11. And I'll gladly give and explanation :)

No, of course not. These are the major sins. So if you don't commit the major sins but do the minor, you're doing just enough to keep some difference between yourself and a normal person. Yes, I know, some people don't do some of these, but you don't get that a lot.

Taking care not to commit minor sins is still not extremism. It's just you trying to be a good Muslim.

But when you go WAAY beyond the line of minor, and you start isolating yourself and really do it the hard way which makes you think that Islam is strict, that's extremism. :)

    Ramadan Kareem!

  12. no thats what islam tells u to do, no one in my family drinks, eats non-halal food, gambles, has s*x before marriage or dresses badly because islam is against those things. if you're muslim u shud be living like that

  13. No, that describes me..

    That's a description of a true Islam devouter :)

  14. Yes for the first three.

Only extremists dictate to dress like them modern Muslims gives you the freedom to wear normal clothings.

Except pork all food are halal.

  15. No, those are basic Islamic rules.

  16. apparently here it is

  17. So what unless you lead a completely decadent lifestyle, wallow in s*x before marriage, get drunk just for the sake of it and dress like a wh*re your a nutjob/extremist?

How is living your life in a dignified manner, extreme in anyway?

  18. It's extremism if u don't choose not to do these things. U're extremely dishonest.

When u accept to be a Muslim, and choose Islam as ur religion, u don't go by what u like or don't like.

'Islam' means submission to the will of God and obedience to his law. When u sign this contract, then there is no cheating. U accepted the terms. Can't back out. Full Stop.

And as sister Xtreme L puts it: "There is no liberalism in religion. You either submit to God's will, or ridicule yourself by saying 'I believe in God' and act with ignorance.

All these things are have been prohibited by God, and call it extremism if u like fellows, or accept it by heart---u have to abide by the contract.

These are the laws anyway. Peeps may consider themselves wiser than God if they want to. They r the wise ones, and God, who created them, is a fool, OK. He created people, but He doesn't know what's good for them and what's not.OK.(ASTAGHFIRULLAH).

The laws of the Creator rule and rock.

  19. No.  That's choosing to follow some parts of your belief.  Extremism is when you force others to follow your belief also or else.  There's a lot of that with islam and please don't say there isn't.  Every bombing is extremism.  Every church burned is extremism.  Every person killed is extremism.  Every time Muslims angrily and violently protest things that don't comply with islam it's extremism.  These are not peaceful gatherings.  People die, cars burn, and threats are made because of quotes, books, cartoons, teddy bears...that's extremism.  You can't draw Muhammad?  Then don't, but don't tell me I can't!  I'm not a Muslim.  I don't follow islam.

The things you mentioned apply only to yourself.  That's what religion is about...you and your own belief.  In Christianity, we say it's a personal relationship.  What others do is their own concern.

  20. nope, although some think it is as Islam is soo different to other religions

  21. Thats a Human's choice!

    a. You are wise when you chose not to drink alcohol.

    b. even ethics don't allow that

    c. greed is fool and fool leads to destruction.

    d. thats one's own choice
