  1. Seems a bit "unfair" but the chaos of selective taxes just isn't feasible. Can you imagine if we had choices? No or yes to military, social security, highways in states we'll never visit etc... just won't work.  Although did notice that in "retirement" villages that they don't have to pay the school impact fee so there is some exceptions.


  2. It is equally as fair as paying to incarcerate prisoners even though you may never commit a crime.

  3. Well if people thought that you might not have received an education when you were younger.  

  4. Of course.. a well educated public benefits ALL of us !!

  5. We pay our taxes for the common good and we can't pick and choose where the money goes.  Not all of us are going to need all the services our Federal, State and Local taxes support, but it's awfully nice to have them when we do need them.  

  6. Someone paid to fund your schooling, and some of them had no children.
