Long story shot. My ex fiance and I are trying to make our relationship work. We have a daughter together and have been together for 5 years. He is a contract welder so he travels a lot. We called off our wedding that was suppose to take place this coming november and in the process we split all of our bills. So all his bills are in his name and all mine are in mine. Is is wrong of me to ask that he provide me with some money each month to help with our daughter. It is a lot like asking for child support but we are still trying to work things out? What are your thoughts?

  1. don't marry him

tell the District Attorney of your City

  2. if he doesnt live with you and your daughter, then yes you should ask him. its not just your child, its bouth of yalls.

  3. well, if you don't live together, and none of his bills cover your daughter's needs, then yes, you should! But if you live together, then you should sit down and divise between the 2 of you who pays what concerning your child.

Either way, he should provide for his daughter, even if you're working things out, she's not jut your responsibility, she's his too!

EDIT: If you don't live together anymore, then yes, you should ask him for money to help support your child! It is not your responsability alone, he's a father!
