  1. Yes, i think seniors (except Sachin) should retire from ODI and T20 cricket! They can play in test matches........i think we 've very good young talents to play in ODI & T20!

  2. no, because they are heart of india. People like dhoni are not suppose to do like this.

  3. yes,and i think they will be replaced by Rohith,Nayar,Dhawan,Dinda,Ojha , Bhatia  etc...in next worldcup.

btw these SENIOR PLAYERS were a part of Indian team in 2007 WC..

  4. yes seniors should play in tests only they are not fit for ODI

  5. hmmm, i would say its right in some terms..you need fast fielders in ODI but we also need to see experience counts a lot..so its better to have a proper blend in the team

  6. yes

  7. No. Can't u see? india won CB series only with the help of Sachin.

  8. I am too tired of this question. But my answer still is, and forever will be NO.

It was extremely unfair and also very ungrateful on the part of MS Dhoni to dump out the senior players of the ODI team. No one can deny the contribution of Laxman, Ganguly, and Dravid to Indian cricket. Ganguly isn't performing well at present, but was performing decently at the point of time when he was sacked. I don't know how many times they need to prove themselves. Dhoni led team won the CB series only because of the great Sachin. I am 100% sure that as soon as Dhoni gets the test captaincy, he will throw out Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly, and even Kumble from the test squad as well. But he should remember that treachery is the worst sin of all. Most of the juniors are inconsistent, and it is Sourav and Rahul, who made Dhoni what he is today, through there support to Dhoni, when they were the captains. Well, the Dhoni led side collapsed in IPL as soon as the Aussies left. That proves a lot. Once all the seniors, including Sachin retires, then we will see the fun. It will be nice to see how Dhoni manages with a bunch of inexperienced players, who can only field, but neither can bat, nor can't bowl. He will be playing with 11 fielders, and no batsman or bolwers. But one thing is for certain-the seniors won't return to the ODI squad again. they should now retire, and rest in peace.

Edit: To the answerer below me, I meant that those guys  would be good for only fielding, but not for batting or bowling. The poisoned arrow which Dhoni has shot will turn through 180 degree angle, and fly back towards him. He too will grow old one day, and will be kicked out in the same manner, by some other junior player. I don't want India to lose, but this may happen. And also, I don't want the seniors to keep playing forever.

  9. hi all,.i think its fair,.&also i think these senior players will not be fit for 2011 WORLDCUP..and there r millions of youngsters in INDIA who r waiting for a chance (may be they've qualities of dravid,Sourav..)

Its ok that u r a fan..but its foolish tht u want him to play till his lifetime

People here r saying tht Dhoni is A Lucky Guy....but dont forget when DADA was kicked out of the team evry one said he is "A LUCKY MAN FOR INDIAN TEAM"...and he should be in the team..

By the way i hav a question 4 my above answerer,

    Rohith Sharma,Robin Uthappa,Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina,Ishanth Sharma,Manoj Tiwari(another bengal tiger),

    r these players batsmens/bowlers  or a fielders ???

Its so sad thAt  somepeople WANT TO SEE THEIR TEAM LOSING..

    Bottomline : Sachin ≠ dravid , Ganguly

  10. nope! b'coz juniors aren't reliable! they play good no doubt but when the top 5 or 4 players do not play well the next players do not stay on the crease like seniors to make runs! they can only hit some shots andd not a long inning!

  11. So far Dhoni is getting lucky. luck played a big roll behind hid success.Once he start loosing matches, then we will see the result. Mob in Ranchi is waiting for that moment.

  12. At that time Dhoni would be  a SENIOR player & if continue his play like you are watching , he would be on sideline too...We have lot better wicket keepers-batsmen....

  13. hugtyfgghghggvfgghghfvghvgvgfgfghv

  14. Karthick, Sachin is a one of a kind player, he is not like the other elder members of the Indian Cricket Team, he is A LOT better, many Indian innings can be built around him because he is a team player, not like Dravid who takes up 20 overs to get of the mark. Also he is a useful bowler and slips fielder. The other members of the Indian Cricket Team, can barely move in the field, let alone dive and slide around, and we cant have them all in slips either, like Sachin.

Mp B, a guy only gets so much luck, after that he is on his own, and I think right now Dhoni is just running of his skill alone, he is a BRILLIANT captain and probably will end up becoming the captain of all three of India's teams, (20/20, ODI and Tests) and he will prob be the most succesful captain that India has ever had. He is to the Indian side, as good a captain as Shane Warne would have been for the Aussies.

  15. Indian youngsters are doing a great job and are putting a lot of pressure on the senior players.

A young team = A good fielding team which saves 20 runs in every match.

Youngsters run well between the wickets.

These two things don't matter much in test cricket but in one day international cricket this can be the difference between the winning and the losing team.

The stats do not give us a clear picture.

    Saurav Ganguly averages 40.

    Robin Uthappa averages 30.

But Uthappa being a brilliant fielder will always save 5-10 runs on the field which will make him as useful to the team as Saurav Ganguly.

In cb series Indian team looked more energetic, more aggressive. That's what required in odi cricket.

If you remember,in England last year we were scoring 300 runs consistently and were still losing matches.

That was because it was a pathetic fielding team.

In Australia we were able to defend 250 against Australia because we had a very good fielding team.

So,it's not right to blaim Dhoni. He wanted a young team and that young team delivered.
