  1. Don't worry Change is coming.

  2. Yeah, i agree. I think that McCain would be the best since he is an excellent war strategist, though.

  3. i smell the scent of change...and the odor is obama

  4. The futre is dim. Taxes will be raised. The Social Security age will be raised to 70. War will be started with Iran. $7 a gallon gas. Oil $200 a barrel. Shall i continue?

  5. We can hope the now is the worst before it gets better, yet it seems doubtful it will be any time soon. People are only as good as their government, We live in wreckage of the past, more then eight years past, corporations have ruled our congress, both parties, I don't believe in or trust either party, there fore, no matter who is elected.

  6. Wrong. Grain prices are sky-high. So is oil. The minimum wage people are going to be screwed. And, that's how it works.

  7. Holding out hope that it will not get worst. Doubtful that I shall see the outcome in years to come, hopefully my sons and their children will...see a better America.

  8. It may be very helpful to look at specifics before talking about fairness.

    Consider these specifics:

    Health care

    Foreign policy

    Economy

    The environment

    Executive power

    Restoration of constitution

    Authorization to torture prisoners/enemy combatants

Nominations to Suprme Court (each candidate would nominate differently)

    Education

    Women's right to choose

The right for same s*x ouples to marry

The Democratici nominee and the Republican nominee have something to say about each of these specific issues. Those individuals who exercise their right to vote will make a difference.  Just remember-if Al Gore had won the election, our nation would not be engaged in an unnecssary war, presidential powers would be in check, environmental issues would be addressed---to list a few. Al Gore lost by a few hundred/thousand votes.  Your vote counts! Voters should read Mc Cain's and Obama's  issue statements on their respective websites.  These two candidates have differing views and solutions. So, it is NOT fair to say the US will get only worse no matter who is elected.  Our Nation is at the lowest point ever.  Our Nation has lost the positive regard amongst the world community.  Our Nation, with all our wealth, did not have the leadership to respond to a natural disaster (Katrina) three years ago. Although we are one of the wealthiet Nations, thre a millions who have no health insurance.  Who iwill change this?? Your vote counts! You owe it to your neighboring citizens to regard this election with vigilance and with care. Get informed-know what is at stake, educate yourself so you understand about the issues so you realize how important your vote is!

  9. Sad but true

  10. Well you are right, things will get worse no matter who is elected.  But you are also wrong in that both sides are saying they can fix things.  So they are making promises, just ones they can not keep.  That's all.

I do like McCain's idea to build multiple different things to combat energy problems which would be many more nuclear reactors, wind mills and off shore drilling.  Obama does not support nuclear reactors, which can be made safe if we are careful.  France has almost all the electrical needs met by nuclear energy without incident.  Can we not do the same or better?  I think so.

  11. Better or worse has little to do with who sits in Washington.  The greatness or failure, whatever is achieved and comes to pass, has far more to do with individuals -- the choices they make and the things they do -- and elected officials are nothing more than ephemera of the age.  Nominate yourself to steer your own life, to choose your own fate, and though you will be disappointed sometimes, you will learn how to do better next time.  Vote for yourself!!
