  1. No.  I've always hated change.

  2. this is a free country. i bet it is fair to say it to someone you know.

  3. i would say its the other way around. i hated when things changed as a kid but now im waiting for things to change

  4. I think it's fair, but only as a generalization. There are some people who tend to dislike major changes and enjoy common everyday comforts, and others who thrive on change and adventure.

But especially when we reach "old age," the difficulties of adapting become more tedious. Most 80 yr-olds would prefer stability around them than anxiety or upheaval. My grandmother at 83 is very different with her great-grandson than she was with me...she has much less patience than she used to.

Depending on the society that one comes from, there is a stronger adherence to tradition in older generations than in the younger. Just look at Chinese cultures that value respect for elders and indirect communication styles. The younger generations are more and more influenced by other cultural values due to globalization, and so they are more open to change and different modes of thought.

  5. Not exactly, it's just that you change less often.  A year is a long time when you're young, and a blink of the eye when you're older.

  6. no what made you think that that's true??? y?

  7. I've never been a fan of change...

    :P

  8. My dad only just started really changing and he is 40

    AND

he quit smoking after 25 years

  9. ummmmmmmm kinda yea

  10. No... when I was younger I had to have things precise.  Now I change things around and new things are the best for me...

  11. Not fair at all. You need to smoke a joint dude. Look at everything around you. There is so much to life. Don't let the same old same old routine get you down. Enjoy it. Even if you have to start out with a simple long walk by yourself. Get that music playlist and some headphones and walk real far and look at everything. Yes America is a giant shopping mall, but look beyond that. Explore. Read, write, talk and live man.

  12. Just consider: change is the essence and renewal of life.

  13. Depends on how you're defining "older."   In the elderly, my experience with my father and in-laws would seem to indicate that they are AFRAID of change, and thus dislike anything that's not their usual routine or status quo.

However, I'd say that for the young and middle-aged, change can be exciting.  It's the reason why people feel compelled to change jobs, residences, and (unfortunately) spouses.

But, definitely, as time passes, I believe that the desire to experience the unknown becomes less and less of a motivating factor for decision making.

  14. depends on who u r

  15. I can only speak for myself, but yeah......I used to love change and new things and new experiences. Now I complain because nothing is the same as it used to be......

  16. I don't think so. I think the older you get, the more you change. You become experienced and eventually want to try things a new way.
