Is it fair to treat older waitresses differently ?

More like s*x objects because waitressing is almost a sexual job.

If she is 26 and still waitressing she'd better get used to being treated like just a dum pretty thing and being sexually harassed.

Do you think it is fair to treat the older ones like that ?

The younger ones are probably just trying to get through college so should be treated with respect.

Waitresses are little tarts and should be treated as such, do you agree ?

Seriously that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard!!! I am 32 and a bartender I make great money. People do try and treat me that way but slowly learn that being a server and working behind a bar is very hard work I mean can you imagine having to deal with people who think like you do!!!!!! I certainly am not going to explain myself to you, but remember we are the people that handle your food and drinks so a little respect wouldn't hurt.

Just because someone is 26 and still waitressing doesn't mean they don't go to school! Some people can only afford to go part time because they have other obligations.

Some people waitress at age 26 and have a degree because they make much better money waitressing than they would w/ a job w/ their degree.

Maybe they were laid off from their job and had to find something?

Maybe it is a 2nd job because their 1st job doesn't pay enough money?

There could be a million reasons why someone who is 26 and is waitressing. There is no law that says a college student must be between the ages of 18-22. I'm 29 and I'm going back in January to get my B.A. I only have 1 year left and while my husband is working, if I need a good job for part time that will be good money? I will waitress!

Waitresses are people who are trying to get by and should be treated as such, as people.  NO way should they ever be treated as a s*x object, even in Hooters.

If a waitress presents herself in a sexual manner, then by all means ogle & such. But there are female waitresses that take pride in their work. They take to time to learn numerous cooking techniques, presentation styles, wine, liquors & foods. For you to disrespect them makes you a complete bag of douche.

Besides, you should treat everyone with respect unless they have given you a good reason not to.
