Is it fair to veto this trade?

In my league I made the following trade:

Ryan Braun

Rickie Weeks

Geovany Soto

Nick Markakis

for

Chase Utley

Russel Martin

I received Utley in the trade and second base was my weak position, while the team I traded with was weak in outfield. The trade helped both teams involved.

Four managers in my league voted against the trade because they didn't want both of the teams that made the trade to improve. Is this a legitimate reason to veto a trade?

I agree with you. It is not fair to veto this kind of trade. Vetoes should only be used where there is an obviously lopsided trade where it looks like a weak team is trading its remaining good players to a team that is already strong. In all other scenarios I would let the trade go through.
