  1. Just heal the rift with your family, just because you're a g*y doesn't mean you have to run away at Christmas time.  If you go on an uphill gardening challenge at Christmas it's only going to alienate your father further.  He will make peace with you once he sees that you and Terence are serious!

  2. yep  FAIRLY busy but not crowded.  Not so many screaming brats at that time of year either. .

The weather is PERFECT although it can get a wee bit overcast at that time of year.

  3. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has something for everyone. Mediterranean in atmosphere, despite being just over 100 miles off the African coast, Gran Canaria is the third largest island on the Canary islands archipelago.

  4. Gran Canaria has an even temerature all year  but remember that the canaries are one of the shortest flights to the sun at this time of year making it real busy. I went to Tenerife in December and could not stand it as it was just so crowded and people in bikinis with caols playing and christnmas trees did my head in it was WRONG

  5. my friend went there 26th DEC last year and it was busy and bout 25 degrees

  6. I went last year in December and the weather was great the only day it rained was when we was going home and it was really bad, quite scary but thats Spain for ya. Its busy all year round too x

  7. It's hot all year round in the Canaries. Busy??! Probably.

Apparently the average for December is 26C/79F

  8. Yes - and you will be struggling to find a reasonable deal, now. Gran Canaria is (personal opinion) better than Teneriffe, though perhaps not as "sophisticated" as Lanzarotte. Temperature should be English Summer warm and is the closest place you can go for fairly certain Winter sunshine. If it is full, then you can get very good value (not so much cheap, more good value) deals at Hurghada, Sharmel el Sheik and of course Taba Heights. These are on the Red Sea coast. Make sure that you are content with going to this area as sometimes people are not too sure about it. I have been several times to the area and never had any problems.
