For example, going out to a restaurant to eat, eating a fast food burger, pizza, or chips... Is it fine? I mean i have a healthy diet...

But sometimes i feel like eating something like that... I just feel bad sometimes.. will the baby be fine and be born healthy anyway?

  1. Eat it!!! You deserve it and now more than ever there is a chance the calories will give someone a fat roll that will be good for them. This doesn't mean go nuts or use pregnancy as an excuse to gain 100 lbs. Go ahead and indulge some.

  2. im sure the baby will be just fine...but i would only eat it occasionaly.

    you should be okay.

  3. During my pregnancy, it took a little bit of time to recognize that as long as I was eating things that were good building blocks for the baby the majority of the time, it didn't really matter if I ate too much or not enough or extra dessert. I think it's really important to be AWARE of what you're eating, but not worried about OVEReating. Don't count calories, and don't limit yourself when you really want something. Just be aware of getting the proper food groups in.  Take your vitamins, drink lots of water, and don't rely too heavily on junk food.

If it helps, remind yourself that now is when you have an excuse to eat whatever you want-- and it's AFTER the baby's born that you might have to order the grilled chicken instead of the bacon cheeseburger. (Though I throughly enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger I ate for lunch yesterday, and didn't feel guilty about it either!)

I eat pretty well, but never limit myself when I want something in particular, and I had a happy, healthy, 8 pound 6 ounce baby six weeks ago, AND have lost every pound of my weight gain.

    Don't worry about it.  :)

  4. It is perfectly fine to indulge yourself once in a while. Just don't get carried away and eat it all the time. Treat yourself once or twice a week to a burger or pizza or something indulgent. I am 38 week s and just had a couple of bites of brownie. It's Moderation my lady, Moderation!! Good luck and congrats!

  5. Of course its fine to indulge once in awhile. If you eat healthy otherwise, it's fine. you'll drive yourself crazy if you TOTALLY avoid cravings. just dont over do it.

  6. YES IT IS FINE ONCE ITS NOT A REGULAR DIET OR A MAIN FOOD  GROUP YOU EAT EVERY DAY, I WAS JUST CRAVING FISH AND CHIPS AND PIZZA ANDI AM EATING THEM NOW, STILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO I'M ONLY 5 WEEKS 4DAYS

  7. It's fine as long as you have a healthy diet. When I was pregnant with my first I used to crave junk food alot and my baby came out so healthy and it was becuase I always kept my healthy diet. CONGRATS ON YOUR BABY!!

  8. If you don't eat it everyday three times a day. You and the baby will be fine!

Pregnancy gives cravings.. if cravings were bad.. we'd all be introuble.. ice cream and pickles (eww), peanut butter and ice cream (not to bad) etc

As long as your diet is healthy overall.. Once a week hamburgers are not going to hurt you or the baby.

    Congrats!

  9. Of course...I ate all those things will all of my pregnancies and my babies were born perfect!

  10. Completely fine!  My biggest craving has been wendy's, grilled cheese sandwiches, and cake!  I have eaten more of those things in the last 9 months then I can count haha, just make sure you are eating healthy as well and it is fine!

  11. Only if you want your child to be automatically qualified to compete in Sumo wrestling when it's born.  Remember, whatever you consume during pregnancy is fuel for your unborn child.  You must, for the sake of your baby, eat healthy until he/she is born.

  12. Of course. It's not bad to do.

It's bad if you make a diet out of it.

  13. Yeah. You can have it once in a while. Just don't make it part of your daily diet and you're fine.
