  2. Many libraries choose to subscribe to different services like ancestry, as a courtesy to their patrons.  All depends on what the library decides to do, with their tax budget.  Some have it, I would assume that some don't.

    Call and ask your local branch.

  3. Many libraries in the UK subscribe to sites such as Ancestry Library Edition and then offer this service free of charge to library members. In the case of Ancestry, you can access the site only at a library itself, it is not available from home for instance, and this may be the case for other family history sites. If you contact your local library service and they will be able to tell you if they offer this service.

  4. You can get a free two weeks on Ancestry,  you have to give credit card details and remember to cancel them.

    I was late with the cancellation, but they did refund the money after I contacted customer service.
