  1. If it is a public range (meaning not connected to a golf course or the golf course that it is connected to is a public course.  Like a city owned course) then no.

If it is a private range (meaning that the range is connected to a private course and that range caters to the golfers that are playing on that course) then yes.

  2. I think I read a sign somewhere on a range "NO TEACHING IS ALLOWED EXCEPT FOR THE RANGE PRO"

  3. If you are a golf instructor than, yes its frowned upon.  If you are not a teacher and helping a friend, then no.  Everyone in golf offers advise..it's just the way golf is.

  4. Any public range shouldn't be a problem.

Any private range, an arrangement should be worked out beforehand by the instructor.

  5. Trust me, it is absolutely a no no. It is extremely frowned upon.

  6. If the teacher is a pro, definitely!! Regardless whether the range is public, private or individually owned, no one giving lessons for compensation should use facilities where no deal has been made.

  7. Sometimes it is frowned on and sometimes they don't care.  If there is a professional on staff at the range all the time, then he wants to give the lessons.  But if there is no pro associated with the place they won't mind if you take someone out and try to teach them.  But if you are going to do it a lot you might want to clear it with them so you are not confronted in front of a student.

  8. Yes, it is private property - they can eject you.

  9. if you are doing it for money yes there could be big trouble for you if you dint talk to some1 in charge and get an written agreement.however,if you re doing for free as a friendly gesture you would figure that the yd welcome it and if not i would go elsewhere anyway

  10. i always thought the range was for learning golf

  11. I don't think it is a problem if you go to a regular public range. I wouldn't go to a golf course range and i wouldn't bring a bunch of props.

  12. yes it most definatly frowned upon , the only exception if you are working with a city , performing recreational golf lessons to junior golfers . you can try to make arrangements with the pro , or manager . for a kickback . okay . if nobody is aware of what you are doing , give it a try
