its fun

i go there almost every year never stayed in a hotel always stayed with family. the beach is nice and dunns rivers falls . i climed it..its pretty cold.

You will have a wonderful time. I am planning my 6th trip to the island. Where are you staying? Depending on what part of the island you stay you should plan your excursions. If staying in Negril I recommend Mayfield Falls or just strolling along 7 mile beach, if staying on the southcoast be sure to take time for the Black River Safari and something off the beaten track Pelican Bar. If you travels to the island are taking you to the areas of Montego Bay, Falmouth, Runaway Bay or Ochos Rios there is unlimited amount of activities such as Martha Brea river rafting (in Falmouth), Dunns Falls (in Ochos Rios), river tubing (Montego Bay), ATV tours (all over the island, I think the best is in Ochos Rios), Horseback Riding (Chukka Cove Tours Ochos Rios and Montego Bay), Luminous Lagoon (Falmouth).

The choices are endless and anything you decide to do will bring you fond memories of this wonderful island, it's friendly people and rich culture.

Jamaica is a blast.  I loved it.  Definitely do the River Tubing and climb Dunns River Falls.
