Fun is not the right word. Obtaining forgiveness generates joy in the pardoned person and is an important factor to the peace of the forgiver.

Never really thought of it as "fun" but it certainly relieves the burden of guilt on the soul when you are forgiven, don't you think?

Fun?  No.  Necessary?  Sometimes.  Easy?  Definitely not.  Cleansing?  Usually.  Worth doing?  Depends on whom you are obtaining forgiveness from.

it is impossible to obtain complete forgiveness which without the forgiveness being complete there is NO forgiveness at all!! at that is not fun!!
