Is it going to get warmer (this August and September) in the North East United States?

I am getting mad because I had my pool up for 2 months now and we've had two straight weeks of temps in the 60's. My pool water must be 50 degrees. If I go swimming, I will get hypothermia. I'm tempted to take down my pool, but knowing my luck, it'll reach 90 degrees next month. It takes a good week of temps in the high 80's to warm up the water.

Is it supposed to get warmer this summer, or are we headed into an early fall? The weather channel says the next two weeks are going to be 80 degrees and below. Depressing!

I am experiencing the same problem with my pool in Central New Jersey.  This morning the temperature outside was 60 degrees f.

It shouldn't even be this cold in January. I want summer!!!
