Is it going to hurt my 20 month children's advil for the 24 month dose?

the 24 month dose is 6ml I was going to give her 5ml

I think it's ok.  Give the dose based on weight, not age.  Call the 1-800 number on the box if you're not sure.

Ditto the above. All children's medicine is based on weight not age. The age is just a guideline. A quick call to your pediatrician will answer what is the best dose for your child.

it depends on his weight. my son has always been tall and muscular. he is 2 1/2 and weighs 40 lbs and is  3 1/2 feet tall. i dont think it will hurt your child.

The 24 month old dose is the same dose for kids that age to about 6 or 8, so don't give it to him. Call your pediatrician and ask. Better safe than sorry.
