  1. any kind of physical exercise is beneficial no matter what age.  however i dont know if he is wanting to lose weight?  lots of cardio will help the weight come off if thats his goal.  but if he wants to tone up then he needs to add some strength training too.  


  2. Yes for the health but NO for losing so much time that could be spent socializing with friends like most teens.

  4. workout out at a young age is a good habit to have. take a day off every once in awhile to let your body recover.

  5. Unless he is ill or otherwise physically compromised in some way, running is an excellent exercise.
