if it sucks really good make sure you set your setting on your vacuum on 2 if you don't have numbers set your vacuum where it is all the way down touching your carpet lift head up until you hear a sound that isn't so much as a loud hum reason you need some air low between carpet and vacuum to work probably

Beater bars are bad, they do exactly what their name is beat, the reason why there bad is the beat the dirt more into the fibers, sure it might beat and loosen some dirt, but most of it will be beaten into the fibers and matting. Have you ever torn up carpet and wonder why there is grit, well that’s from vacuums’ that have beater bars. I use to sell vaccums in High School.

Only if it also has a strong beater bar and is sturdy and well-made. A vacuum that really sucks - well, really sucks if all it has to its credit is suction.

In other words, Dysons are creations of the marketing department and are vastly overrated.
