  1. I don't know who said that heck I walk outside barefoot once in a while on grass(not a good idea but nothing bad has happened yet)

If you have a clean floor I don't see what's the problem.

  2. Depends if your house is dirty or not...

It is not true that your feet will get smelly, that is rubbish.

I walk around the house barefoot all the time (my house is very clean) My feet NEVER smell bad... EVER.

Wear socks if you're that worried. But use cotton ones, those will absore the sweat that cause foot odor.

  3. i don't know if all thats true i have been running around barefoot since i was a baby  & i am 29, nothin wrong with my feet except for they are dry...you may get in trouble but i would just say "hey its my feet let me deicde what i wanna do with tme" i don't know i don't believe in rebelling against your parents but stuff like that i think is silly...good luck

  4. If any of the following is considered unhealthy:

    Stubbing your toe

    Stepping on something sharp

Dry skin on the soles of your feet and heels

then yes going barefoot is unhealthy. Otherwise I would say ABSOLUTELY NOT! It's perfectly fine to walk around your own house barefoot once the floor is clean and you don't have an open sore on the soles etc. where dirt could get in and cause infection. I never even think twice about it! Your father might just be a reserved person who thinks feet should be covered. You will not get flat feet from it. Flat feet might occur if you NEVER wear shoes indoors or out but otherwise not. It's actually very good to let your feet breathe and get some fresh air to them every now and then!

  5. it is because the more you walk around barefoot the wider your feet get the more smelly they are and dirt gets in your feet very unhealthy and bad

  6. I go barefoot as often as possible.  As a result, I have managed to get a sunburn on the soles of my feet, broken 8 of my toes and mangled a big toe to the point of almost losing the nail in an ordeal that lasted 3 years.  Those are pretty much the dangers of going barefoot.  That and you can get athlete's foot.  That hasn't happened to me.

Would flip-flops be good enough for him?

  7. Your dad seriously won't let you walk around barefoot in your own house? I'm barefoot all the time in my house unless it gets really cold during the winter and then I suck it up and wear some socks, I even go outside in our yard barefoot a lot.. and when I do have to wear shoes I'm usually only in flip flops unless I'm going somewhere that they're not quite appropriate and my feet aren't weird or some kind of new level of smelly. They're pretty much the same as my mom's feet and she hardly ever takes her shoes off... so I don't get what the big deal about being barefooted is.

I've been walking around without shoes since I was tiny so.. if being barefoot were going to do something to your feet I think it's had plenty of time to do something to mine.. and it hasn't.

  8. your feet will get flat

  9. your father is full of it!  If the floor is clean then feel free to walk wherever.  It will not make your feet flat or wide.  Trust me on that one...i have very high arches and i have very narrow feet...and i am barefoot all the time...and i am in my 30's....

so don't listen to all the BS
