  2. No it is not good to generalize unless you are doing a psychological research design that you have proof to your generalized statement.

    Your shaping towards the appropriate behavior which is accuracy.  Everyone from time to time generalizes to some extent.

    It is better than out and out lying.

    Try to focus concentrating on specifics.  The more you practice the more you will hone in on your skill.  

    For example that black guy is lazy is considered racist because you have described the man by his color.  

    Seriously it is acceptable to say that guy is lazy leaving out the word black.

    If you say all black people are lazy that is generalizing because not all black people are.

  5. Generalisation cannot by their nature be absolutes but they have their origins in observational facts, so I say good.
